Demi represents everything her name entails. She is as sweet as she is my redemption. Demi came to live at Daisylane in 2004 at 12 weeks of age. She has displayed remarkable focus, intelligence and physical performance at a young age. She is also the watch dog of the house. Rocky, our German Shepherd taught her to be his eyes as he was getting on in years (11 years old). Demi would spend her days lying in the front window and would alert Rocky when something outside was going on. They were two buddies and worked very well together. Demi is also the first to respond when someone is hurt or something is wrong and will notify me promptly.
Demi's intelligence and reliability has been displayed in her obedience performance, resulting in scores between 191.5 and 194.5 (out of a possible 200) in the Novice class. In agility events, she is so fast that she has to stop to let me catch up. We are working on distance directional training to resolve that problem, because I do not think I can run any faster. At the 2006 AKC National, Demi participated in the Doggie Fun Zone event which is an agility course with a lure course running through it. She maintained the title of FASTEST CAVALIER three days in a row. You can view her last run here.
Demi took some time off in 2006 to produce a beautiful litter of whole color cavaliers and came back in action in 2007 finishing her novice, open and excellent agility titles.
At the June 2007 CNE specialty, Demi achieved on the same day a High in Obedience Trial with a outstanding score of 195 of a possible 200 and High in Rally with a perfect score of 100 as well as winning the run-off.
In December 2007 Demi had an amazing Open Fast run and was the only 12 inch dog out of twenty to qualify and get the send bonus.
Demi finished the 2007 year ranked #12 in AKC Agility for Cavaliers. This is an extraordinary accomplishment for a dog who earned her novice agility title the same year.
